If you check the service manual you will see the initial oil change is at 5000km. It's not a dealership recommendation but a manufacture recommendation. This has been talked about many in this forum.

Seems like a long time on the factory fill. I definitely would not follow that 10k mile schedule there. While I may not do the 500-1000 mile oil change, I would definitely do a change around 1-3K miles though.
